Project Description
Colantonio performed the phased renovation of the Atkinson Pool Building and 40,400 sf addition to the existing community center, which remained occupied and operational during construction. The new facility is a combination structural steel and wood frame building, and features multi-purpose meeting rooms, gymnasium, pool, locker room with shower, fitness room, arts and crafts and games rooms, offices, and the school system’s MDF communication hub room. The firm also installed new parking lots, drainage, basketball courts, utility relocations, and sprinkler systems.
The project is targeting Net Zero ready with infrastructure for solar panel installation, superior insulation double glazed windows, and electric VRF mechanical systems.
