Project Description
Colantonio was the CM at Risk for this project located on a forested site. This new, 88,709 square foot school features 29 general education classrooms for the kindergarten and first grade, along with 4 pre-kindergarten classrooms. The building also includes a gymnasium, kitchen, cafetorium, art, health, music, and specialized classroom spaces.
The site work included extension of a public roadway, two vehicle drop-offs and parking lots, two playgrounds, a play field and connections to adjacent town-owned parcels. The project, which includes a photo-voltaic array on the roof and HVAC systems that optimize energy performance, has achieved LEED Silver Certification.
The school was completed two months ahead of schedule.
