State House Elevator Upgrades

Colantonio has upgraded the finishes, mechanical rooms, head houses, penthouses and accessibility of 15 elevators at the State House.  The work included new elevator venting and cooling systems and revisions to the power distribution to individual elevator machine rooms.  Several wheelchair and materials lifts were repaired or installed.

Several teams of installers worked simultaneously on separate elevator banks, taking one elevator offline at a time.  The work progressed in five phases to keep at least one elevator operational at all times in each bank.
