Sean joined Colantonio in February 2012 with 30 years construction experience. His background includes work in the academic, assisted living, and laboratory markets with former employers Cutler Associates, Shawmut Design & Construction and Metric Construction. Unlike most Superintendents, Sean has several years’ experience as a Project Manager from design through construction, which gives him valuable insight into the planning process. He enjoys his work as a superintendent because he “loves solving problems.”
The challenges presented by the Norwood Public Works Facility project – extremely restrictive job sites, contaminated soils and a tight schedule – make it his favorite Colantonio project to date. “One of the things I like about working at Colantonio is,” says Sean, “they let me do my job. Fran and George know they don’t need to micromanage me.” Off-hours challenges for Sean include hiking, camping, skiing, biking, skeet shooting and cooking with family and friends.
